The story of Bizim Ev begins with a determined decision made by our grandfather in 1974. In those years, our family used to camp on the seaside embankment where the road now passes, enjoying water sports and spending joyful times by the sea. One day, when our grandfather learned that the highway authorities planned to demolish that area to build a road, he was deeply saddened. In response, he came to the location where Bizim Ev stands today and decided to build a house there. Saying, "A road will no longer pass through here," he began to imagine this house not only as a place to live, but also as a symbol of determination.

Our grandfather, who had a vision far ahead of his time, began construction in 1974 and completed the house in 1975. In those years, Kaş was a small and rather underdeveloped town; even basic construction materials such as nails, cement, and stone were difficult to find. All necessary materials had to be transported by sea from Demre. Despite these challenges, the structure that emerged was quite extraordinary and impressive for its time. Our grandmother - our grandfather's life partner - spent many joyful years in this house and welcomed countless guests here until she passed away in 2007. After her passing, the house remained silent for a long time.

That was until 2017, when Altan, a member of our family, suggested the idea of sharing this special place with others again. The idea excited all of us, and thus began our journey of welcoming guests into our home. One day we asked a dear guest what we should name the house. Smiling, they said: "We are like family now... this is our home." Those words touched us deeply, and we decided to name the house Bizim Ev. Today, Bizim Ev is not just a building; it is a home filled with memories, a place where stories are shared, and a special place that forms a bond with its guests.
